Roller Lagging

Rubber Compound - 6mmRoller lagging plays a vital role in the performance of a conveyor. Especially if the conveyor carries heavy loads, is inclined or is operating in a wet environment.

The head drum or drive pulley is often covered (lagged) with a compound to prevent conveyor belt slippage. These compounds can vary from hard rubber, to polyurethane or to a soft rubber of about 40 durometer hardness (relatively soft), depending on the operating environment and the application.

In a wet environment, lagging with a grooved pattern is often used to grip the belt.

Polyurethane lagging is cast on the drum, while sheet lagging can be hot cured or cold glued.

We can supply all of the above options.
