About Us

Printing and Mechanical Services was formed by Brian Armit in Sept 1995. Initially the business serviced the mechanical needs of the commercial printing market in North Queensland.

The Mechanical Services arm of the business began in 1996 when Brian was approached to distribute PVC conveyor and speciality belting in the North. This was an ideal association as Brian had over 20 years mechanical experience in the newspaper industry in North Queensland that included design and maintenance of conveyors and associated equipment.

The printing business required Brian to travel regularly from Mackay to Cairns and the Atherton Tablelands, so it was a natural progression to make calls on farmers and the vast array of agricultural packing sheds in the area.

Over time the Mechanical Services has developed into a very strong arm of the business developing secure relationships with leading industry suppliers. We now distribute and service a range of products that will suit any packing, picking or processing operation.

We supply and fit PVC and polyurethane conveyor belting, coding printers, conveyor components, motor gearbox drives, roller lagging and agricultural and industrial brushes. We have extensive experience in the banana industry and many other agriculture, aquaculture and industrial operations.
